Image description: St Mary-le-Bow church (detail), Cheapside, City of London.
Also known as Bow Church, built by Wren and completed in 1679, the church's spire is surmounted by a golden dragon weathervane. It used to be said that only those born within the sound of Bow bells could genuinely be considered Londoners.
