Image description: Looking up into the jaws of one of Landseer's lion statues in Trafalgar Square, London.

This is one of four bronze lions by Sir Edwin Landseer which sit at the base of Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square. Although the lions were integral to William Railton's 1839 design for the column, it took 24 years to install them - making them the butt of numerous London jokes.
