Image description: Brasenose College building, cherry tree in blossom and view down High Street with pedestrians walking at street level, University of Oxford, Oxford, (River Thames), Oxfordshire.

Brasenose College was founded in 1509. Its unusual name probably derives from the brazen knocker, in the form of a lion's head, which distinguished an older building on the site.
