Image description: Slipper launch and passengers upstream of Henley Bridge during the Royal Regatta, Henley-on-Thames, River Thames, Oxfordshire.
'Slipper launches' are so named because of their graceful sterns and low profiles which suggest the form of a lady's slipper. During the Regatta the river is crowded with classic and traditional boats, and the streets (and bridges!) are crowded with people.
