These photographs form part of the London Image Collection and cover the River Thames from London Bridge to below Tower Bridge, depicting the bridges, the Tower of London, London City Hall, modern and historical architecture, warehouse conversions and other waterside buildings, corporate sculpture, and river and boat scenes.
Tower Bridge is photographed from both north and south banks and on the bridge itself. It is depicted: through hanging branches; in summer sunset colours; with riverside pedestrians, tourists and a family on the Thames footpath in the foreground; with tourist riverboats passing beneath; with a red bus in motion crossing it; and detail of the bridge's high-level footbridge.
Also find images of the Tower of London's White Tower; New Concordia Wharf; Cotton's Atrium; Admiral's Court (modern residential building); the cruiser HMS Belfast (converted into a floating museum); the barge 'Tidy Thames'; and a new green glass development overlooking the Thames at Wapping.
